what is with these stupid people, I'm sorry but there is no way i would pay anybody any money to be given a prize, and if it was that convincing i would tell them you can take the £7.000 out of my winnings.Saw an article in the paper about a bloke who was told he had an estate from a "distant relative" in another country and had to pay money to claim this estate, and they did, and got conned, unbelievable

Its been a well known fact for decades to never pay for a lottery win. There is no such thing as having to pay to recieve the win.
Now to pay for a ticket to have a chance...thats the way lotteries make $$$ ...
If u fall for a scam that is very well known & obvious, u get what u deserve... but at the same time I feel sorry for many who are too trusting or too old to relize that there are scams out there.

You think that woman is dumb? Get this.... my b/f ex fell for three scams, a free Bahama cruise that ended up costing a few dollars. The she got an email from some guy in Nigeria saying that his relative died and had millions of unclaimed money and they need her help to relocate the money to a US bank. They told her she was to deposit it in her bank account but for safety reasons she would have to give them her bank info"account# and PIN #" That one cost her in the neighborhood of 32,00.00. The idiot t gave them her bank info and they "Literally" cleaned her account! took everything hahahahaa Then in Augusr she gets an email saying she had won 75,000.00 in the canadian lottery we tried to tell her it was a scam. She says"oh no the check is good" she was told to cash the check and send them 16,000.00 to process her claim. I believe the email said something to the effect they were sending her 21,00.00 and she had to send them 16000.00. Doing it that way "it wouldn't really be costing her anything for the processing. hahahaaaa. A week after she did this she gets a call from the bank.... she has to repay the bank the total amount of 21,000.00. so in 3 months and 3 scams she lost almost as much real money as she had won "virtual money" It's amazing what greed will cause a person to do!

Unfortunately there are some people who feed off the gullibility of others. Just be pleased to think that we would not be hoaxed into the scam that she was.
I think that after the first time she sent some money for admin fees she wouldn't of been silly enough to send any more. Just goes to show how naive she is.

She must have been off her head,I cannot understand how anyone can fall for such a scam,I had a phone call the other day asking if I wanted a free mobile so obviously i said yes and then this Asian wanted my passport number and driving licence number as the package had to be guaranteed because of the value of it ,scam alert came on and i told him where to get off.People who give out bank details and send off money deserve what they get nothing, is for free.

I wish that I had £250.000 in the first place but there is no way I would even send off a first class stamp.
I have had a few e-mails saying I have won money and to input my bank details As if I am dumb enough to do that.
but I expect they caught a few people out.

she was to gullible the trick is if you win the lottery you dont need to pay anything upfront to get your money this goes for any prizes if you do it will be in the small print before you even start the game/draw e.t.c yes she was gullible then go on national tele and admit it

Greed is always the reason the get conned. If you haven't entered a lottery, you wont have won. If you have won, why not take the £7000 out of the winnings.

Yep, I almost fell for that too. I was asked to pay VAT etc on my winnings. So I thought hold on, you asking me this rubbish when winnings are not of that tax form. Even the percentage they were saying i had to pay didn't add up. Yet, they were still persistent in trying to convince me they were real. They even tried to use a courier although they existed had moved address!!!! Oops!!! You could say she was stone mad!!! No, your not too critical. -))

Just goes to show you can not buy common sense!!!
What a dimwit!
I wouldn't even reply to news about lottery winnings unless I was given a cheque in return for a ticket I had bought. end of!
The world is full of scammers.
If you have £250,000 in your bank, best you get smart or lose it!
