Mac's are way better. First, they are more expensive because Apple puts a lot of money into design quality and their operating system so you have to be ok with that and know that's what you're paying for. PC's don't compare in terms of free software. If you get a mac you have everything you need out of the box and it is EXTREMELY easy to use. Now Mac's can connect to PC's, run Windows and even connect to PC based servers. Once again they are more expensive, but, they are worth it. If after all your research you need one thing to help you decide, know this. Mac's do not get virus's like PC's do.

Definately not a MAC, because they are evil. They lock you into their hardware, and they are expensive. Definately not Windows because Microsoft is a monopoly, and those are evil. Try for a blank-slate laptop so you can put Linux or some other free OS on it.You can get Linux preloaded now on many different laptops. Having to pay for an OS is ridiculous, Linux is free! And it works. How do you think I am replying to your question? With Linux!

i hav 2 agree with ebonyruffles, if u get a Mac laptop then u can get bootcamp and be able to run xp as well, however if u get a windows machine then u wont be able to run OSX on it (unless ur prepared to do some hacking, that is lol.)

Get a Mac & run Bootcamp. Best of both worlds.
