From everything I hear it actually happened -

So now the US will have to think very hard before invading and that's what North Korea wanted - No "regime changes here" I think you will find this is the motivation of Iran and Venezuela too.

Bush by invading Iraq has set every small nation in the world up to race for nuclear weapons -

Because Bush has made every nation on the planet frightened of what the US military might do to their homeland they are rushing towards nuclear weapons as a way of keeping the US and Bush out of their country .

So yes N Korea having a nuke is serious and Bush might try to make it more serious but it is unlikely he will ever acknowledge his role in this deadly escalation of weapons.

If he had not have pursed an illegal war and dumped 2,000 tons on depleted uranium and lied to the American people about weapons of mass destruction then the world would not be in this race right now.

I wouldn't worry too much about. North Korea has a long, long history of making outlandish claims and B.S. statements. It's leader Kim Jong Il, the original Dr. Evil, can't be trusted.

Unless there is proof positive, like a CIA spy satellite photo of the explosion or reports of radioactivity from nearby South Korea or Japan, then I wouldn't loose sleep over it.

It seems so. Is it really serious? Probably not, but Japan has threatened further sanctions, and I'm sure the US will also. That might further the problem.
