what are some signs he is trying to marry for a green card? Top ten will suffice?

I suppose there is no sure way of knowing. Just any help would be greatly appreciated.

we are just dating, marriage has not officially been a topic, money is not mentioned, and he tells me take all the time I need to get to know him. But as soon as people hear I am dating him they all seem to think that is what he is seeking. Obviously they think very highly of me .... I have nothing to offer any man other than a green card .... maybe I just need new friends

I was not thinking that he is going to try to marry me for a green card until others brought it up. I wonder if my doubts are based on my own insecurities - just being out of a bad marriage. I don't trust my own judgement - maybe I want it to be love whereas it may not be. I suppose time will tell. I am not marrying any time soon ... but don't wish to waste my life if that is the case.

I am not rushing into anything. I think even if he were american I would still have doubts as to why would "he" want to be with me. The fact that he is here from another country just adds to my own doubts. I have thought of asking him straight forward if that is why he is dating me ..... in the hopes of a green card marriage. I think if the situation were reversed I would be terribly offended that my feelings were in question. Should I just ask?

2. He actually proposes to you.
3. He is never serious except when you give him the idea they might lose you. He doesn't want to lose his chance.
4. He doesn't know anything about you even after you've told him things about yourself.
5. He invites you to his country or want to meet you, most likely wants you to come to him, because he has no visa or money.
6. Some will actually be honest about it too.
7. You know someone in his family or his friends have done it before or have foreign girlfriends/boyfriends.
8. He doesn't make an effort to contact you or do things for you. He doesn't care about you.
9. He is poor and might not be well educated.
10. He come from a poor country or a country with reputation for this sort of thing.
11. He starts to make you feel guilty, telling about how tragic his life is, how little money he lives on.
12. He doesn't care about your looks or sex at all.
13. He hides things, lies, talks to other girls too but lie about it.

I'm sure there are more signs too, that's all I could think of at the moment, hope it helps.

Now that is a tough one, but if a man or female loved you...at the beginning then after you were married he or she got their green card, and then left you well that will be the sign you need to see, before that you really don't have no way of knowing...but that would really be sad if that happens...

the answer is that easy.
Just mention one single word, 'KIDS'.
Say, you want to have kids right a way and have no time to waist.
First baby within the first year of marriage. That's the condition of a marriage. If he is not ready for Kids, then you are not ready for a wedding, it's that easy.
Other wise why are you getting married if it's not for the kids and have a new family!!!

Puts no real effort into the relationship, doesnt like to discuss everything relating to a future! Breaks up the relationship too often and than comes back! Ask to marry him on messanger not in person! If you ask him to wait he brea k s up and does not respond anymore!
