Yes, genuine humility is a rare gift. Wealth, position and power are not humble, hence their possessors need extra efforts to be. However, some possesors of these things may be humbled, not humble, by special circumstances. For instance, Bush could appear humble while looking for your vote. Similarly, a great person who is being blackmailed over a dirty secret will be humbled by the fear of attracting the wrath of the blackmailer(s).
