When is the best time to get a bikini wax? Specifically, I'd like to know the optimum hair length so that the waxing hurts the least. Is stubble better (should I go in just a week or so after I shave) or is longer hair better (should I actually get the bikini wax long after I really need it)?

I have had 2 Brazilians so far, and it seems that i have to wait longer because the hair is growing back slower. If it is your first time, i would suggest about minimum 6 weeks growth (you may want to trim it just a little with scissors so it isn't so long). They recommend not coming in when you are close to having your period because your skin is extra sensitive. Take about 3 Advil before you go and just relax. I thought it would be embarrassing, but it really isn't that bad. They see this stuff all the time. Good luck and you will love the results!

No matter what, the waxing will be forcfully pulling the hair out of the folicle. Hair length will only help it pull the hair out, it won't make it feel better/worse.

Take some pain killers, or better yet have some alcohol beforehand so you dont feel the pain as long.

Well, honey, I usually get my bikini wax every third Tuesday of the month. I wait until my body hair grows beyond four inches, and then I do it.
