I am planning a holiday sometime in the next few months and I can't seem to decide where to go.
Can you give me pointers why I should choose a particular city and what are some of its highlights.
My choises thusfar are Vienna and Prague or Budapest. What do you think? I could really use some good suggestions.

All the capitals have their charm in Europe, so first consider if you are interested in East or West (and Berlin would have a sampling of both).

If you are thinking of Eastern/Central Europe Vienna, Bratislava and Budapest are on a straight line just 3 hours form one end to the other by bus/train. You can also take a speed boat on the Danube from either Budapest or Vienna and go towards the other, with a stop in Bratislava.

If you have just a few days to choose for EEU, go with either Budapest or Prague as Vienna is not that exciting and Bratislava is smaller. The two have very different feels, as Prague had it's golden age in the middle ages, while Budapest in the late 1800s. I'd suggest to google pictures of both and see which style is interesting for you.

Also, you can fly with IcelandAir and stay overnight in Iceland on your way to Eruope. Definitely a unique experience.

Vienna is eye-catching and has all of the failings you're finding for. it is not immediately inexpensive yet you could honestly locate extra inexpensive lodging than acceptable greenback around the city. Berlin honestly gets you the history and the homes; Schloss Charlottenburg is staggering, as is the Tiergarten and the zoo. It additionally has an integrated delivery equipment this is easy to apply. this is fortunate because of the fact the internet sites you will p.c. to bypass to are properly unfold around the city. Bratislava is small and honestly common to navigate, a minimum of in the city centre. yet i do no longer understand plenty extra approximately there because of the fact the girl spouse and that i got here upon a bar and had some pints of Zlaty Bazant.... and staggered returned to the boat. Budapest is eye-catching, rather staggering. each little thing from the Parliament development to the Fishermans Bastion; seems rather small from the different area of the river, yet as quickly as you're up there.... Small favour, in case you do no longer suggestions.... the girl spouse and that i are making plans a quick wreck over Christmas (with our family members, that's much less annoying this way!) the place would you recommend?

Germany is a really cool place to visit. I haven't been to the Eastern European cities but I hear Prague is really nice as well. Italy is beautiful but so is Spain and France. Each place has its own feeling and you should try to see all of these places at least once in your life. London is like no other, but might seem to familiar compared to North American cities. Enjoy your trip!
