landed a great job this year in tv, in finance which is great better than all the other jobs i have had and on top of that a good salary. BUT its got too much work on, childish colleagues and way too much responsibity. I am pretty much the only fiance person in the building and therefore end up quiet stressed out at the end of the day.

woke up this morning on my way to work and wondered: how much b******t would it take for you to quit your ideal job?

Start putting aside a little of your salary each month to save up for a career break or a really nice holiday, then, when you've had more than you can take in the job leave and either spend some time looking for a new job or take a week away and then come back and see if you really want to leave.

Speak to your managers about the stress, tell them that you love working there but if things don't get better you are going to start loking for somewhere else to work. If they say fine, then you know it is time to move on, if they do something about it stay and try to work at it until it becomes too much again, then repeat process until someone listens or you can find a better job to move to.

I've been in this position before - more than once, sadly. Think you've landed a really great job with all sorts of progression opportunities and it ends up that - sorry!!! - you just get left with all the responsibility and all the crap, and PS no career progression either. I have left jobs like this once I realised that no matter what I did nothing was going to change. I guess that's the question you need to ask yourself today - could it improve? Or is there no chance. Over to you ....

I found my ideal job last year - it was an opportunity for me to breakin to my chosen career and I grabbed it with both hands.
Unfortunately, my colleague and 'mentor' had wanted her daughter to get the job, so she set out on a campaign to make my life absolute misery so that I would leave.
I stood firm for a year through her misinformation, trickery, verbal abuse, veiled threats - she even put the clock forward then pointed out to the Director that I was late! The Directors weren't stupid and could see what she was doing, but when one of them turned on me over something else she'd done -and I could see her smirking in the background.....
Enough already
I left

Life's too short to put up with bullsh*t at work day in day out. I would quit and find myself a better job. Let some other fool be mugged off day after day, and do something in life that you'll really enjoy.

what i would do i would stick my job the people are being childish towards you are jealous lap it up. You were hired not them. But if it does get to much save a little bit of salary and look around for other jobs but do your job to your best of your abilities as a reference and job experience is important.

If you really feel unhappy I would leave as its not good for your health to be getting stressed out like this. Try speaking to your bos and tell him you will leave if things dont get sorted if this dont help then you may have to leave. I no it will be hard but whats more important your job or your health.

A job NEVER only consist of the tasks that you have to do, but includes environment, your colleagues etc.

If you cannot handle the b******t that the job requires, then it is not your ideal job.
