Should you spare? Geez, buddy.

I don't really know the answer to this one. Some think as much time as possible, others are in the quality vs. quantity camp.

I would suggest spending as much time with your kids as possible before they grow up a stranger before your eyes.

you should spare as much time as you can especially if they are little..kids need their parents to be there for them at the drop of a hat..if you cant be there for them now they probably wont want to spend time with you later in life

Well, Saturdays and Sundays are the best days which one should spend with the kids. The weekdays are very tiring and we have enough work to do, and the kids have to go to school too.

this depends on how you get along with them, what they know, what you want them to gain, and how old they are - what stage in life they're at. Assuming you're talking about early teens....

If you have very attached kids who need you dearly
Then if you want them to be spoiled, be with them all the time
If you want them to be more independant, be with them hardly ever

If you have very distant kids who don't seem to love you
Then if you want them to be more dependant, be with them more.

Not a matter of quantity, but rather quality........Which of course would include enjoyment, paternal nurturing, love, and discipline.
It's a life thing......not a requirement.
