First, North Korea by far does not have the largest military in the world. Not even close. China outnumbers them by a mile, as do we.

If there is a war, the American military has more than enough idiots in it who volunteered to go die for their messed up perception of "Protecting our freedom". There would be no need for a draft.

If, on the off chance there WAS a draft, what can you do? No need to worry about it until it happens.

Besides, many in the world are with us on our stance against North Korea, unlike Iraq where bush pretty much, acting like the idiotic cowboy he is, decided to go at it alone, more or less, not caring what the world thinks.

When it comes to nuclear weapons, most countries in the world are against them and would back any invasion of a country threatening another with nuclear attack.

In a worst possible scenario, if there is a second war in the Korean penninsula, the first strike against North Korea would be most likely from China, South Korea, Japan, and maybe Russia, as they are the closest neighbors of North Korea. The U. S., wanting to get involved, will also send detachments of troops. North Korea obviously cannot stand up to those combined powers, wil fall, but cause catastrophic damage to the invading forces. For most of the invading countries, it would very much be a totally political disaster. For the U. S., there would be a even bigger divide between political parties, and more false accusations. There will be many anti-war protests turned into riots. Though a draft is not likely, many people would be against a war with North Korea.

If there were an intention to go to war with Korea, the United States would be a secondary force. Areas with in the region especially those with more interest in the Koreas would have much larger forces staged and ready to go on the parrallel. The would be no doubt that many US troops would be involved in the engagement but it would be an extremely large multinational force. Many, Many, Many people will die in the first few weeks of conflict, most likely it will not be a long engagement and will most likely only last a few weeks. If N. Korea does have tested nuclear weapons, the United States from Juno, Alaska to San Fransico, Ca could be potentially in range from a long range ballistic missile attack. The area is of the utmost concern.

You will be luck enough to see new weaponary of the US. For this one, US will launch the whole new attack on North Korea since they don't have to worry about so much.

1. All the neighbor do not really support North korea. So regardless how US treat them, there won't be much complains.

2. There is no oil field in North korea. So they bomb it back to stone age, there is no bad effects on energy market

3. Beating the crap out of NKorea will give an example to Iran to comply

4. There are so many powerful weapon in US, they hesitate to use them in middle east worry about pissing off the OPEC countries. Now they can definitely use them on the N. Korean.

5. After they conquer the NKorea, they will set up more bases there to "contain"/ isolate China, which is labeled as the next possible competition to US militarily.

The invasion will be lead by the following groups : US, UN, south Korea, and Japan. Japan wants to expand it's forces for a long time. It will take this opportunity to do so officially.

It's likely that not much will happen, much like the cold war, there is always the threat of mutually assured destruction. If north Korea decides to start using their nuclear weapons, it can be guaranteed that the Untied States and other nearby nations will oblitherate north korea off the map.

What planet are you on?

First off....we are not at war with them nor will we go to war with them. Japan and China will go to war with them long before we ever got involved. Read the news more. N.Korea wants to talk to just us to solve all this cause they are scared of what China and Japan might do to them. Japan could wipe them off the face of the earth in under 1 day with just a part of their nuke supply. And China could over take them with 1% of the China's army.

Next....one of the largest militaries in the world? Are you smoking some good herb or what? Iraq was 3rd largest and we destroyed it like it was nothing. Korea might be in the top 20 but doubt in the top 10.

You forget about Britain, Japan, Russia armies just to name 3?

I think Japan and China would be fighting them, and South Korea, and the US would just supply intelligence information, weapons, money, food, etc. Correction, China is their ally. I meant the neighboring countries in that immediate area that feel the most threatened have to fight them.
