How long were you in this job??? - are you actually entitled to redundancy Pay?? - If so, have you lodged a claim for it either with the company concerned or completed an originating Application (E.T 1) form to the Employment Tribunal???

Have you registered at Jobcentreplus office as an unemployed person and claimed Job-Seekers Allowance????

If the answer is no to any of those questions then you need to do something about it otherwise you'll be without any money for another two weeks or even indefinitely

Two key things really:

Primarily, don't let it stop you looking for work out there. Brush up your CV and get looking.

Secondly; go to the CAB and get some advice as to the best way forward. Without knowing how long you've worked there, etc. it's hard to know what you should be getting - so discuss it with them.

At the very minimum you should look to get you 2 weeks pay, and THEN any entitlement.

This is strange behaviour from your company; are they going bust or anything? If they are - then you will become one of their creditors - and good luck on THAT one.

Firstly - don't let this situation get you down
Secondly - look at this as a positive situation. Now is the time to find you ideal job. Think long and hard about what you really want to do and aim for it. Revamp your CV to make sure that everything in it has a positive slant and then go out and sell yourself.

You have nothing to lose.

Good Luck

Go NOW to your local Jobcentre Plus - I wouldn't wait so long personally - the only way to get anything done is to stamp, shout and make a nuisance of yourself. I always wonder how some people "work" the benefits system - I even have started to admire people who can actually work out how to defraud it, as it is mighty complicated - good luck
