A lot of people believe that they need to do a lot of abs exercises which is true but only to a certain extent. In order to get really flat abs your "overall" body fat percentage needs to be really low. Our stomach and hips are the storehouses of fats so all the unused fat gets piled up in there.
Hence, your body needs a good overall workout regularly everyday. At the same time, you really need to have a complete control over your diet as well.Getting good abs can be a very demanding, more particularly, very tiring task.
It took me several months to get a couple inches of my stomach and to get a good six pack abs.But don't you worry, if you have a high metabolic rate then you might get a flat tummy far more quicker than I did.Good luck.

Do lots of cardio to burn the fat around the tummy, and do sit-ups and other abdominal exercises to work every muscle (if you want 6-pac) :) This may be hard for some people but also try avoid drinking beer as it gets harder to loose the beer gut.

Exercises are beneficial. Barring that many people opt for cosmetic surgery which is risking, expensive and dangerous. You must make the decision on what is the best overall selection for you.

Tummy u mean?
Do crunches... just like sit ups but u dont go all the way up. Just half way.
And after having a heavy meal, try to keep ur tummy tight and not letting it bulge. Its like holding ur breathe and sucking in your stomach. Do this after meals, believe me, my stomach is not that big... and try to stand up after meals so ur stomach wont bulge.

Cut the carbs from your diet! As soon as I began to eliminate carbs, my stomach flab was the first to go! After you lose the fat, you can tone it up with crunches.
