No, because odds are it won't happen. Three sweeps in the ALCS, NLCS and WS. I don't think so no matter how good you think the Tigers and Mets are.

I do fear the Tigers as my A's will have a battle. Time to bring back Campy to throw a bat LaGrow style maybe Kenny Rogers' way. 1972 was an awesome series!

Not me. The Mets might sweep the Cards, given past performance, but I don't think the Tigers will sweep the A's, though they will probably win in five or six games. Heck, the Tigers couldn't sweep the mighty Mariners. (No offense to Tigers fans. I'm rooting for them to take the pennant, and while I will root for the Mets in the Series, if Detroit wins I will be happy for them. They will have earned it. Hurrah for Jim Leyland, too!)

World Series: Tigers in five, maybe six depending on Mets pitching. The Mets have too many good bats to get swept by these Tigers. On the other hand, the same might have been said regarding the Yankees and the (ugh) Dodgers in 1963.

Besides, sweeps are no fun unless you really like the winner or really hate the loser. (For my part, I rejoiced when the Mets swept the Dodgers. Revenge for the '88 playoffs!)

No way this how I see it A's beat the Tigers in 4 or 5 Games.
Cardinals beat the Mets in 5 or 6 Games.

With the A's and Cardinals as the World Series Matchup and the A's winning the World Series in 4 or 5 Games. And for the 3rd Straight year it will be an American League team winning the World Series because last year it was the White Sox and the year before that it was the Red Sox!

I do believe it's going to be the Tigers and the Mets in the WS, but don't think it'll be a sweep either way. Not sure who I think will win. We'll see....

Heck no! The Mets will NOT sweep the Cards. My boys are going to the Series, and this year they'll win it, too.

Go Cards!!!

Highly unlikely.

The A's have very good pitching, and that series will go 7 games.

The Mets (just like the yankees) will choke and lose in 5, maybe 6.

Hopefully a St. Louis/Detroit goes 7 games. With the same results as 1968. = )

Does this mean that Walmart will be having a sale on brooms?

No way, there will be zero sweeps from here on out.
The matchups are too close between the opposing teams as the line is too fine. And, we're talkin the best of seven now as well.
