I bought this recently and it is white and of course it now needs to be cleaned. I don't want to dryclean as it states coz it's expensive. I have NEVER heard of any item of clothing being made of paper, has anyone else?

I wouldn't risk anything other than dry cleaning - might be expensive but cheaper than buying a new one. In future checking the labels before buying might be a good idea!

I bought a beautifully fashioned 100% white paper duckbill hat (made in China) to wear to Hawaii. Got caught in the rain and it lost it's shape. By then my need for the hat was no longer there (time to return home), so I just dumped the hat. I didn't pay too much for the hat.

Caution: Didn't know they are selling Chinese paper clothes in U.S. now. What if a person wearing paper garment was near a smoker who dropped ashes on it? Wow, that could be a real safety hazard unless it's flame proof.

You might have one of those labels written by Chinese people and they mistakenly put 'paper' on the label. I would dry clean it if you like it a lot.
