I'd like to learn how to play the guitar. I want the best one I can get my hands on. Which one do I buy?

Either the Fender "Strat" or a Gibson Les Paul.
Which one you pick depends on the music you're going to play. The Les Paul has a warmer, fuller sound (IMO), while the Strat has a clean, sharp and very versatile sound.
I'd love to have a Strat sitting in my music room, but since I had to make a choice, I've got a Les Paul Custom (well...a Greco a copy).
I would suggest that if you're starting out, save your money for the moment. Pick up a fender squier strat or telecaster (for just a few hundred bucks) and you could also pick up a Epyphone Les Paul.
Play them both and then decide what you want to spend several thousand dollars on.
A quality guitar is a beautiful thing, but you don't want to end up with a guitar you don't appreciate.

well in the world maby but my personal choice is a fender stratocaster, they are aswome, they have a great sound.......
you can get them for between $1,500 to $4,000
