normal pulse rate is 60-100 beats per minute. at rest, if it goes below that, then maybe you should talk to your doctor

the indications for low pulse rate would be cold extremities (hands, feet) low energy level, you tire easily, dizziness,slowed breathing,normal is around 16 breaths per minute.

what happily said. Plus, the atenolol slows the heart beat. Athletes who are in very good condition also have a slower heart rate because they have a muscular, efficient heart. It doesn't need to beat faster because it works so well.
