Maury is closest to the kind of host and show I was thinking of, but I'll accept other types of programs and shows in genres outside of television.

THere are many out there, but the leader and one of the older ones is Jerry Springer. I don't think the guy has any limits. It's gotten worse over the years with all the various cable channels in competition with each other and these guys trying to out do each other. They are pretty talented at getting some real low lifes on looking for their 15 minutes of fame, too.

I can predict what his next 2 dozen shows are going to be like:
FADE IN--fat, lazy, no teeth, southern redneck woman complains her boyfriend is cheating and Springer invites boyfriend on stage. Then he brings the woman who he cheated with on about 30 seconds later. Before the cheaters make eye contact its all out wrasslin' between the ladies. The audience chants, "Jerry, Jerry, Jerry". Camera cuts to medium close up of Springer showing him standing there with one hand on his shaking head. The next minute of the show is all of them yelling at audience members...
No I'm not a writer, I just have this psychic ability.

Maury Povich. He actually acts like he's doing something good. At least Jerry Springer doesn't have any delusions about what his show is.
