I'm an African-American man who has never, I repeat NEVER used a razor to shave. I have always used electric clippers and while I have had to "shave" more frequently they got the job done. Now I really want to get the clean shaven look and I need some advice. Besides using magic shave what can I use to cut down on razor bumps and will also keep me from looking like edward scissorhands? I need the total package- a good razor and a gel/cream. Thanks!

I agree with lilcavich. I haven`t tried it, but I hear hair conditioner is great in place of shaving gels or cream. Apparently it softens the hair before using a razor. Worth a try. The conditioner is the type women use after shampooing that leaves hair soft and silky.

definite, you do. I quite have an identical concern. until now you're taking a bathtub, soak your legs in toddler oil for 10 min. interior the bathe, use an exfoliating scrub or physique wash until now. This removes the lifeless pores and skin first. (confirm you utilize this *as quickly as* a week in easy terms.) After that, wash with a moisturizing cleansing soap. *do no longer shave interior the bathe.* once you get out, pat-dry your legs. Get a shaving cream for delicate pores and skin, and be conscious that. on an identical time as working the water, sit down on the sting of the tub with a sparkling razor. bypass slowly and intently and rinse the razor each and every few strokes. once you're accomplished, rinse legs nicely, use the moisturizing cleansing soap back, and repeat rinsing. After, pat-dry back, wait 5 minutes and be conscious a Aquaphor lotion. in case you could, evade shaving for a minimum of four to 5 days. in the adventure that your concern keeps, see a dermatologist. desire that helps! :)

I have a male friend that I work with who gets razor burn and bumps no matter what he uses. So we suggested he use Nair hair remover or something similar. And it worked great for him. It is just a thought. It also keeps the hair from coming back in longer than shaving.

I had a similar problem. I found using regular shaving cream (no scents) in an aerosol can took care of it. I think my problem was I was mildly allergic to the chemicals.
Hope this helps.
