He is the best in baseball now and over the past couple of years. The main thing is he has to remain healthy for many more years to come and keep his same consistency and he will be up their in the greatest.

Albert Pujols is only 26 and for his first 6 seasons is hitting over .330 with an OB% over .400 and SLG over .600 there are only 3 players in the history of baseball who for their careers have those numbers...Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Ted Williams that's some pretty good company for any hitter...That said, Albert's next 6 years should be the prime years of his career then hopefully he will have another 6 to 8 years after that to cement his legacy as one of the greatest ever...

The Cardinals have had a couple of pretty good ones, Rogers Hornsby and Stan Musial...

It sure is fun to have another great Cardinal to root for, hopefully they will bring home number 10 this year...

Let's give Albert a few more years to put that tag on him. He's a fine player and a great credit to the game.

He's certainly the greatest player currently playing, and if he keeps stacking up numbers like he has for the past few years, he'll be one of the greatest of all time, if not the greatest.

Go Cards!!!

He's the scariest pure hitter on the planet right now.

Although, he's gonna have to put up some more career stats before he gets put in the greatest ever neighborhood.

Well, he certainly has the best first six seasons of ANY player in baseball history.

He needs to play 6-10 more seasons to be considered one of the greatest.

760 HRs though? I don't know...that's an average of FORTY HRs a year for NINETEEN YEARS.

He definatley has the potential as long as this years injury report doesn't keep repeating itself. People are going to be keeping a close eye on Howard though. I wonder how long Steinbrenner will wait before making him an offer he can't refuse.

Maybe one of the greatest but let's hold off until he's played 15-20 seasons and then we can compare him to Musial.

please King Albert, yes he is all that and then some, he makes the cards and he is a great person, he never asks for so much attention, just the kinda guy you would have over for a BBQ. He takes it all in stride and that is a good thing

Certainly he is one of the greatest baseball players to ever play the game. He proves it day in and day out!! I'd love it if the Cardinals would trade him to the Red Sox. OK!!!!!! So I am fantasizing!! Why not?

Chow!!
