Birth Control does NOT stop your period, matter of fact, it makes it come more regularly.

Birth control regulates when you will get your period, if you are looking to stop your period all together, there is depo provera. Consult your doctor and do your own research on depo, it has some nasty side effects. I have been on depo for about 5 years and I have not had a period in the last 4.5 years.

The pill won`t stop periods. What it does is regulate them. This way you can work out, before taking a course, at what time would suit you best to come on.

Their not suppose to stop you're periods...unless you have those ones that say their made specially so you only have you're period only 4 times in the year. I have a friend who is getting the depo shot and her period is so screwed up...she'll get her's very lightly one day where she'll just spot, then the next week she'll get it again and its extremely heavy. She doesn't know when to expect it.
