It depends on many things - such as when season is in Arizona in that area, who you are booking through and weekday vs weekend rates. This is an easy question to solve for yourself - first, call the hotel directly and get a rate quote for the dates you are interested in. They should not only be able to give you rate quotes but also a total with tax for the entire stay. Then you can go online and check the online rates that are offered. There are many companies that you can go with, such as Expedia.com and Travelocity.com. After checking with several sites online you will have a good idea of the rates available and chose the one you want to go with. Hope that helps.

Sometimes it's better to go in person because if you're nice and have a pleasant personality you can always negotiate the price at the hotels. I was looking to book a room online there and decided to do it in person, I ended up getting the room $100 less. Just a thought. I'm from Arizona and it's a little easier to negotiate if you're nice.

If you aren't picky, it is easier to compare through the internet, therefore you may find a cheaper rate. You could always find the cheapest on hotwire or travelocity then call the chain directly to see if they offer a better deal than the lowest price online. Booking through their own website lets you use coupons if you have any too (like from an entertainment book).

Definitely through the internet. Try using Priceline (priceline.com). You put in an area of where you would like to stay and a price and you will get some amazing deals.

If you are looking at the winter or a holiday time, you should book on the internet ahead of time in order to get a nice place.

You can do it on the phone, but look online first. Many hotels say that if you see a rate online, to just tell them and they'll give you that rate.
