punks
emos
goths
skaters
preps etc.
emos wear converse. i know preps that wear converse
punks and emos listen to alot of the same music. (emo ######## screamo rock stuff...even some skaters listen to stuff like that)
goths and emos both wear black
goths and punks both want to be "different"
goths, emos, punks shop at hot topic
skaters shop at pac sun
preps shop at pac sun

I agree. It could be because of the media. I mean people all watch tv and they portray something that is "in" and "cool" and all want to copy it and end up having similar styles, even though they are all supposed to be different. Also stores want to make money so they try to include more than one style into their line to attract more than one group of people.
