A Mom from my church asked me this about 3 years ago when she was at our house for supper. I have worked with drug and alcohol for 22 years. I told her to prepare that her son will probably not live long if he didn't get into and continue drug rehab, and that she had no control, as he was an adult.
Tough Love was all that was left, and by this time, it was in his 20s, and a bit old, but that group might still have helped.
If you know he's using pot, he is, or will use other chemicals as time goes on.
About two years ago Elizabeth was the one to push the button to start the cremation of her son.
Check with your local AA office and get some professional help referrals.

I use to smoke pot and my mum found out. She decided to sit down and smoke it with me as long as it was my pot she smoking. In the end (After two weeks) I could no longer afford to pay for my mums pot aswell. So i stopped smoking the green stuff, because my mum was to weird. It was like a reality hit v"Oh my god if my mum is like that am i as well?" Trust me love you get heaps paranoid when you smoke it, So you will freak him out and he will stop! And if you like it, he will think he has a cool mum, and he will be able to talk to you more and open up about his drug problems. And in the end his friends will like you even more! Theres nothing you can do to stop it, just be cool about it so he will open up to you about it,. And just keep an eye on him. He wont die from it, but he might chuck a whitey, but the whitey will go away after 15 minutes! Thats the worst thing that can happen. All it means is he will go white light a ghost throw up a few times and it will be over!

Pot is bad, but its not smack, always look on the bright side to everything. we had a prob like this, and it caused so many arguments in the family. the best thing we done was found out who she was getting the drugs of and the reported the dealer to the police, and its not that hard to find out either, give him some money($25 buys a small amount of pot) and follow him. good luck with every thing and i hope you resolve this quickly.

Enfore your rules!!! Put your foot down, and show him who's MOM in the house. If he doesn't like it, tough shiit. Take away privilages, ground him, and.. if ya have to, turn him in, send him to rehab.
It will break your heart, but think of what his life would be like if he doesn't get away from it. I'll admit, pot isn't really BAD, as long as it's used responsibly (a few tokes every now and then to relax).

Punch him in the mouth everytime you catch him. Or call the cops on him, send him to rehab. It is just pot, but I know some f-ed up people that screwed up their lives with "just pot".

call the cops and put his butt in rehab they always start or the small stuff then on to bigger things like crack .get him help why u can. AFTER ALL U ARE THE MOM

i took a different approach with my kids. i warned them about addictive behavior, told them that they are always responsible for their behavior, high or not, and told them that i would continue to expect excellent performance in school and other responsibilities.
that was a few years ago and i haven't seen any trouble.
