40 miles per hour is 40*5280 feet per hour. Divide that by 3600 (seconds per hour) to get feet per second. Apply the other conversion factors (1 meter = 3.28084 ft.
12 in = 1 ft, etc.) to get the other answers.

to convert from mph to meter/second = 404704000 x 10 to the power of -1

Inch per second / meter per second = 2.540000 x 10 to the power of -2
