If I have been out with the person a few times and I am feeling comfortable, I let him know that I have IBS before I am in a "situation." That way if I am in the bathroom for a while, at least he knows why and I won't have to explain it when I get back. If they are a good person, they won't hold it against you. I also just make sure to always have my Immodium and Pepto with me just in case! Also, I never eat anything risky out on a date. I play it safe so that I know I won't have an episode. Good luck...I understand your frustration!

Don't pull an "Along Came Polly" Just go to the bathroom... don't hold it until you're in her apartment, realize there is no toilet paper, wipe with a cloth embroidered by your date's grandma, clog up the toilet, get water everywhere, and end up trying to plunge it with a loofa. There are much easier ways.

guess you gotta say "sorry this kind of food upsets my stomach" or "im so nervous my stomach is upset" girls will find it cute and nurse you back to health. It's really not a big deal, i got a mild case of it also, hopefully it stays that way. Anyway, good luck!

Ask your doctor about remicade, works wonders for my Ulcerative Colitis.

First go to the bath room (quickly)
If you have to go again, and again, I would just be honest and say, "I am sorry but I am having a bout with my colon right now". If the person doesn't understand issues like this, then who needs them........right??
