I heard that tanning reduces strech marks. Is that true? What really works?

Tanning doesn't reduce stretchmarks however it does provide a reduction when it comes to the visual portion. When you tan it can blend the color in to match the resk of the skin. It doesn't reduce them just makes them look different. Avon has some great products out that reduce stretch marks.

Whatever you do do not go out and tan they say that it makes it a lot worse. I guess the strech marks appear to stand out a lot more

It is actually the oposite! Tanning makes your skin darker while stretch marks(scars) do not tan as well as the rest of your skin does. Your stretch marks will be much more noticable if you do decide to tan.

No if anything tanning makes those stretch marks more visible....they almost look like they will glow in the dark. Red stretch marks are not "healed" yet or finished, white ones are there for life.

I am not sure about tanning-am not showing my "baby belly" to people, i might scare them!
I use Niva skin firming lotion on strech marks and found out that it does help!

tanning might cover them up temporarily but in the long run will probably make them look worse. Rub pure vitamin e oil on the stretch marks.

I don' t know about tanning but there is a medicated lotion for scars that will reduce them slightly. I would think tanning would just make them more pronounced.

Not really. Stretch marks don't tan well.

No!!! It actually makes your stretch marks look really white compared to the rest of you. I don't think anything can reduce stretch marks.
