amp new around $200 -$350 Fender electric I paid $800 for mine new strap about $15-$20 case about $100 stand $30 cables around $30 -$60 these are new prices a lot of stuff you can find used in a pawn shop for a lot less and no one can really tell.i have never bought a new amp all mine have been used the only thing i do buy new would be the cables, straps, and of coarse the guitar sometimes you can find a really good used one for under $300 for a fender. just check the frets make sure there not too worn and theres no fret buzz, and that the neck is straight, and the strings are close to the neck and even.

Just what you have listed for a basic rig: I'd say prepare to shell out (and this is going economy) about $5k; go all out with the top line stuff: $8k easily.

Haven't you heard??? You can buy a special Volkswagen that comes with a killer guitar!!!!

Why don't you google the brands and types you want and write it down and if your smart enough add up the total.... if your to lazy to do this... your probably to lazy to learn how to play them...
