I'm not really sure what you are asking. If you are asking if it is legal for you to date him - sure, as long as his parents are okay with it. If you are asking if you two can get married - it is better to wait until you are both 18. If you are asking if it is legal for you to have sex, it is questionable but if neither of you are against it - there should be no legal problem, unless his parents decide to press charges, in which case, a hearing would determine if you would face any charges. With him being so close to the age of consent and also being in agreement with the sex, it would be hard to prove charges. Hope that helps.

* the official "age of consent" in MA is 16; and
* there is a penalty on the books for sex with a virgin under 18.

So with a 17-yo male, I'd say there's not much legal rope to hang you on. And, gender roles being as they are in this scenario, there's a low likelihood you'd be convicted of any crime (statutory rape laws having been enacted so as to deter teenage pregnancy).

So what is wrong for a girl or the guy to date, or even get married at that age, there are no age restrictions, GO FOR IT GIRL.
