In reference to the Nuclear weapon that North Korea tested, it has been illegal to test nukes above ground for sometime, I believe it was the S.A.L.T. 2 treaty but you can read about that with the link I provided.

Now to your actual question "How can they bomb things underground?? "
When setting off a nuke below ground it does cause a depression to appear but they would not actually use the weapon in that manner, they would use a missile to deliver it to its target and it would detonate at a preset altitude. The link I provided has other links about delivery systems used for nuclear weapons, have fun.

Kate reports, "the whole sky went black [Australia].I knew some thing bad happened, the smell in the air, the same happened in Japan.."

If it did, it was something else. The explosion was contained underground with no radiation leaks. The seismic wave was 4.2 on the Richter scale which would not affect either country in a noticeable way.

Underground tests do not affect the atmosphere unless sizable earth fractures occur. this test was obviously a small yield nuclear device not of the size detonated by Russia or the United States in the past.

Oh, by the way, I have a scientist friend in Australia and he reports that there was no black sky.

They did not do a test underneath a town. That would be silly. They did the test in an unpopulated area and was possibly deep inside a mountain. Since it was a test they also would only use enough material for a proper test and not for a full scale explosion.

Sort of off topic but I would like to note that North Korea is NOT bond by the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty (CTBT) So they could have tested it above ground if they had wanted to, but chose to otherwise test it below ground for unmentioned reasons.

I think we are just being told this, to make the world feel safer, but we felt it here in Australia so they did not bomb underground, the change in our weather yesterday morning was unbelievable, every one is still talking about it, the whole sky went black.I knew some thing bad happend, the smell in the air, the same happend in Japan. So do not believe every thing you read, we are only told what our great leaders want us to know.

If they can journey to the center of the earth than bombing underground is easy. They set it off under a land fill and that fixes another problem at the same time.
