I've seen sites that have Yahoo sponsored listings, but I cannot find where to sign up. Does Yahoo have an alternative to AdSense?

YES -- Yahoo has a contextual advertising program just like Adsense. It is called
Yahoo! Publishing Network (currently in beta and available to US publishers only)

The reality is that Yahoo was going to, but they have not done so just yet. Here is a good read back in 2005 that I kept from when they were going to do something like AdSense, as you can see Google beat them to the test....
