Good things and wise choices from each individual in a country to make the country great, as a sum of all people. It starts with the individual; it starts with you. I've also noted that right actions and wise choices tend to spring from people who have a strong connection with God, as God is the source of all wisdom and intelligence. Why not develop that God connection and bless your whole country starting with your own heart?

There are other even poorer countries in the world, not just Nepal. Nepal has become poorer not by the innocent and hard working Nepali people but by the Ruthless Rulers and Corrupted Leaders of the country, everybody knows this and I agree with you on that.

Nepal had 10 different governments in the last ten years, each one worse than the others. Having too many governments is one problem why Nepal has not developed further. When every government were asked, why they had failed to develop the nation, they pointed their fingers to the last one - a simple excuse to ruine the country further by corruption from all levels of the government.

For Nepal to develop, it needs help from developed countries like USA, UK, etc. Other reason why Nepal is poor and corrupted is because of the lack of employment oppertunities here.

The country's unemployment rate is more than 60%

Nepal is slowly loosing its people, many have fled the country to avoid the war, many have migrated to India, many work in foreing countries working / studying. Politicains are trying to solve the unemployment rate by sending Nepali people overseas.

For Nepal to develop, it needs to have a leader who can communicate well in the international market, who can go make some good friends, bring some Information Technology and other companies to use Nepali brains here in Nepal and create jobs, Increase country's exports. The leader who knows that 80% of Nepal's land could be used to grow Tea and export it to the International Market. The Leader who knows that the pure water from the base of Everest could be bottled and exported to other countires. The Nepali leader who does not sleep by snoring "I have a big Mountain, its called Everest, that's all that Nepal can offer to the world!"

Currently Nepal is exporting only one thing "It's people" For Nepal to develop, it needs a new leader who is not from any political party of Nepal, who has good leadership quality, good command in Nepali and English, also a very good Chinese and Indian Language Skills, Excellent communication skills, Great Personality. and a whole lot more... who talks less, does more. A person with new ideas, a person who is more fit for the new Centure. Most of Nepal's leaders have no clue where they are leading the country yet we Nepali can do nothing but to support them.

Nepal will start developing when all OLD systems and OLD Brains Leave Nepal.

The only way for Nepal to develop is by massive investment to obtain the mineral wealth, and the only country that is likely to be able to do that is China. People moaned about the annexation of Tibet to China but as a result, the economy has improved and daily train service is available to Lhasa that brings the needed money into the country through tourism and the sale of Tibetan goods. The first step is good transportation....I have been to Nepal and yaks are not an answer!, secondly, training people to mine, or use the natural resources, thirdly, promotion of handcrafts and things uniquely Nepalese, and fourth, the institution of a national tourist bureau and a good hotel/hostel system. I am sorry about the plight of your nation, but geography is unfavorable to your people.

I am not an expert on world development, but it seems to me that a stable and honest government is needed to allow a nation to create wealth through developing natural resources and intellectual resources. If this is possible and it is available to most of the countries peoples then people can improve their own lives. If a single small group of people control wealth and power the little is possible.

Health and access to education is the starting point. Learn as much as you can and then give away the knowledge as freely as possible.

best of luck.
