There is some truth to this, but it takes a lot more than just timing sex around ovulation. If you have an orgasm during sex, it is more likely to be a boy, if you eat foods that raise your acidity, you are more likely to have a girl. There are many things you can do to influence gender, but no guaranteees. For a boy, eat more yogurt, less sugar, fruit for a girl eat more fruit, acidic type foods. For the more technical explanation, consider this book,

but read the comments on the book further down on the page, there are some good points. Overall, I did quite a few of the things needed for gender selection for my last 3 kids, and all of them turned out to be the gender I was hoping for, but again, no guarantees. Happy concieving!
