Camphor oil, (comes in a little green bottle over the counter), it works every time . It dries it up before it has a chance to become a real coldsore, it is soothing too.

first off, don't lick it. I know it is tempting, but don't. Use carmex it comes in a yellow tube with a red cap. It is like chapstick, but made for cold sores. But check this out! Put the stuff on a (clean) finger and put it on your lip (then wash your hands). This way you aren't putting the bacteria from your lip to the tube and back on your lip. Worse comes to worse it will last like a week or so. But if you catch it ahead of time it might never appear. Wish you the best of luck ;)

A cold saw? Wow that must hurt. I've had a cut on my lip but never with by a saw.
Seriously, try some Tea Tree oil on a Qtip. It'll dry it up in no time.

Cold sores are caused by a virus, HSV-1 specifically. If your doctor feels you needed an antiviral drug before you should probably ask her what to do this time.

Good news is they won't be around two weeks from now!

Spray a little perfume on! Burns a little, but dries it out. When the perfume spray is dry, you can put some zambuk on. Works like a bomb. I suffer of the same! Not any more.........
