if soul is unique how can one human soul reside in another?

No one can challange the super natural powers.
Have you seen an apple .
It contains seed. Seed in the Apple. At the same time the seed has apple in it. If you sow it take care properly, you will get plenty of apples through that single seed. Isn't it?
Same way Mother has a soul & the baby angel she is carrying also has a soul .Its just like you and your family staying in your one sweet home having diferent physique and soul but connected emotionally ,physically.
Have wonderful life by combining mind , brain & soul.

Yes she has a soul of her own and the other one is the soul inside the body of the child to be born to her. They are two different individuals related by karma alone. Just as a person resides inside a home so also the child resides inside the mother.
This is why Hindu scripture give great respect to mother and treat her as the temple of birth and as the first deity to be worshipped even above god.

Of course, the Baby has its own soul, apart from the mother's soul!
But the baby , with its soul, is being carried for 9 months by the mother--similar to aircraft being carried on board an Aircraft Carrier!
The minute it is launched, the aircraft is an independent plane moving on its own!
Who says Soul is the the same?
Each one of us has a soul, and all are creations of the Master, with whom we yearn to unite again! After our soul unites, it is sent outt again into another body!
That is the Hindu theology of Karma, Atma, and Paramatma.

the mother carries the baby which carries its own soul. Physically the baby is inside of the mother, but the soul of the baby is all its own.

N0, certainly not.When X&Y cromosome meets &reaches to mothers womb there the creation of LIFE & SOUL . so mother (soul) carries babies soul.
