Try to get him something he needs or has been wanting for a while, but hasn't gotten himself. Try to look at what his interests are, and then go from there. For example, if he's really into a particular sport, get him a jersey of his favorite team. Or if he's into movies, buy him a bunch of DVDs. It'll seem hard at first, but once you start buying, you won't be able to stop!
I plan on getting my boyfriend cologne, a nice piece of jewelry, and probably a baseball jersey.
It'll get easier once Christmas is a little closer, because the stores will be full of all kinds of stuff.

Depends on your relationship, don't give him anything that is too serious unless you guys are serious. On the same note, don't give him a a box of crackerjacks if you guys are serious. Plants and blankets are always good gifts. Adding a home made element (such as a nice personal card made out of construction paper) says that you care if you your boyfriend would appreciate that sort of thing. And there is no guy alive who wouldn't like some kind of a cool Pez Dispenser.

Colonge, boxers, a nice watch if you can afford it. Maybe a sweatshirt with his favorite team sport on it, a gift card to Best buy, a movie or a CD
