its a poem by emily dickinson. what do you think and what do you like about it? can you relate to anything shes saying in the poem? here it is:

Tell all the Truth but tell it slant- Success in Circuit lies Too bright for our infirm Delight The Truth's superb surpriseAs Lightning to the Children eased With explanation kind The Truth must dazzle gradually Or every man be blind-

Great poem! By a great poet, too. She is saying that yes, honesty is good and important--BUT so is consideration for the feelings of others, so break certain things gently, and with sensitivity and compassion.

Yeah...there are some relegious overtones to that particular piece.

to tell the truth but not so harshly to offend,the truth is too much for us to understand.that it takes time to understand..if you knew everything off the bat without living it-you wouldnt be able to understand it.
