Women skip all the time and are not PG... It could be due to any number of reasons. Changes in stress level, medication, diet or hormone level could all cause you to skip. With any of those it will resume with little or no problems. However if you do not get a period next month I would call a doctor. You could be pregnant or it could be something else. It could in all reality be something very serious so don't ignore it and just assume you are fine. Also if I were you I would just behave as though you are pg just in case. Wait another week or so and then take another test. In some women the tests can't pick up the hormone needed to produce a positive outcome until around 5 weeks because their bodies don't make very high levels of it.

Good luck and I hope it all works out!

I would suggest you contact your doctor. If you have had a blood test and it came back negative, chances are that you're not pregnant. However, if your period does not come next month at it's regular time, a doctor's visit is in line. It is possible to skip your period due to stress, diet or simply your body changing it's cycle. Hormones could be out of balance for some reason. It should correct itself. But again, I would say that if it doesn't come around in the next month - definetly contact your doctor/OB/GYN. Good luck.

First thing to do is RELAX!! Stress can make you skip your period, along with a whole host of other things. Sometimes a cyst forms on the ovary, and it makes its own hormones that keep you from getting your period. If you've lost weight recently, that can cause you to skip. So can a bunch of other things, bottom line is, that most likely, it's not serious.

Many women, especially young women, skip once in awhile. It's normal. We rely on our bodies to send the right hormones out every month, each at the right time, and for an egg to develop, and then that egg breaks through the corpus luteum, and goes down the fallopian tube into the uterus. If it isn't fertilized, it then gets flushed out of the body and our uterine lining is shed. But, sometimes, no egg developes. Or if it can't break through the corpus luteum (sometimes the walls get thickened if a lot of eggs are there), it just stays there (called a persistent ova, benign, but it continues to produce hormones like you're pregnant). No egg means no period. Our bodies get thrown out of balance and it takes time to readjust and get back on track.

So, just relax. If you don't get your period in two more weeks, then make an appointment with your doctor. He will check you out to make sure that it's nothing serious.

There is a chance you could be pregnant with the spotting it could be implanting, as its only been 20 days since the spotting this could be early and that's why your tests have come back negative, the hormone might have been to low, don't take this as your most likely pregnant as there could be another reason for your period to be missed. wait another week or two then if you still haven't had a period then go back to your doctor and be re-tested, if its negative for pregnancy then ask what else could cause you to miss a period and if you can get a re feral to a gyno to find out whats going on.

Good luck.

It's normal if you skip a period or your period comes before or after your expection. Sometimes it will be affect by stress. Stress can be from school (test is next day....etc) or from work (you have to work so you can get the money). However, the only one who can determine that "what's wrong with you" is your doctor (it might be better if the doctor is a woman----since she already experiences what you are trying to tell her,so she might have some solutions for you). Also try to eat food which contains iron (not the metal iron), since you might lose some blood from your period, you might think about eat food with balance and proper neutrition (need some extra iron during 5 days before and after your period just in case). Ask your doctor (or a female doctor) and tell her about your situation as soon as possible.

It is definitely possible that you are pregnant.

The reason your test may have come back negative...your body may currently have a very low level of pregnancy hormone -- progesterone -- and the test cannot pick up on the fact that you are pregnant if your body still isn't producing much progesterone yet. Most of the pregnancy tests on the market just aren't that sensitive to the pregnancy hormone.

I don't know why you are getting pain by your ribs. That is not a symptom of pregnancy. Your stomach and your liver are near your ribs...whereas your uterus is much lower, like beneath your belly button. If the pain continues, I would definitely get that checked out.

A tubal pregnancy can cause the pain you describe, spotting and skipped period, you really should follow up with a doctor it could be dangerous or it could just be stress. stress effects your body in many different ways, sometimes you don't even realize your stressing but in-fact subconsciously you are and it way your body reacts. quit thinking about it and worrying so much about missing you period and relax it will come.

yes there is a chance you could be preggers....

I would wait till when your next period is due... if it still hasnt come yet, then do another HPT - remember to do it first thing in the morning. If that still comes back negative go see your doctor again and request another blood test.

dont know if this will help you - but i hope it does...

sweetheart, if you had a blood test and it was negative also, more than likely you're not pregnant. alot of factors can stop your flow. stress, cycle changes, excessive weight loss/gain etc. you should really talk to your gyn and see if you're having any other issues that could manipulate your cycle changes.
