are you a Canadian? do you understand the history of Quebec and how the english-speaking majority treated them? like c'mon when their license plate motto says "je me souviens" (i remember) it shows that there is something wrong. [In case you didnt know their motto "i remember" is implying "i remember how the english treated us with their oppresive laws"

French Canadians are considered a distinct society. On top of language there is a cultural difference. Separation is seen to some as the only way to protect and preserve this distinct society.
