this is a good page to star but let me tell you that you should search for more specific things.... because ancient can mean the old cultures like babylon or mayan or egiptian ....or celtic and in medieval there are very separated things the old prayers books are an amazing form of art very impresive or the painting thats is really interesting....also the music is very interesting to study since is posible to find music sheets from that period

goood luck

the main scary piece of song i understand of is a Baroque artwork by Heinrich Ignaz Biber (1644 - 1704) with the miraculous (yet genuine) identify, "Operation for the removing of a Stone" (this is probably a gallstone.) This intensely photograph artwork for narrator and small string ensemble is something you will in no way assume from this era. The narrator is observed by bone-chilling instrumental sound outcomes, accomplishing a climax with the narrator screaming, "right here COMES THE KNIFE!" And understanding that there have been no known anaesthetics returned then makes it all of the extra scary. besides, in case you're ever courageous (or mad) sufficient to pay attention this singularly weird and wonderful piece, there's a spectacular Seventies recording by Concentus Musicus Wien, directed by Nikolaus Harnoncourt, that's actually properly worth experiencing! The easiest way is simply to do a search using "early music" or "early art".Tons of websites are availble. There are also a few good publishers and dealers that deal specifically with early music. One that I've used to purchase both instruments and music is http://www.vonhuene.com/
I hope that this helps.
