My two month old started crying inconsolably the last two nights for about four hours at a time, even after being fed, changed, rocked, etc. She doesn't have a fever and seems to be feeling okay the rest of the day. We recently moved into my parents house and I'm wondering if she misses her dad and her home.

She is probably picking up your sad vibes. Don't cry around her. Give her lots of attention. If it continues after a more days, she might be hurting somewhere. Take her to a doctor.

Have you tried Tylenol? Don't give her too much, ask your pediatrician how much to give her. At her age it is based on weight.

Try to take a nap during the day so you don't become overtired. Good luck.

All the previous answers are great. I would try a swing. and have her checked out by the doctor. She is so young there may be something wrong. That is just for precautions. My sister has 4 kids one was colicky and one had to sleep in the swing. The last two would mysteriously quite down if you took them outside. It was like magic, but now that they are 10 and 12 you can't keep them in.

I hope you figure it out. I have said a prayer for both of you. Remember the Lord will only give you what you can handle.

Hey donot worry. SHe is not missing your old place. Babies that small donot have memory more than two days. She doesnot remember or ratain things more than that.

Your baby most likely is colic. Try consulting your pedatric and he will be able to give you proper medication for that.

MY baby was colic too. She would cry for hours at a stretch. Colic babies cry for hours at the same time each day. so check if your baby does that at a specific time every day. There is a infant syrup calle "COLICADE". This helps soothe the baby by reliving him/her of the gasses formed in the stomach which makes them cry. Try giving her that after consulting your doc. I found it very effective.

ALso taking your baby for a drive really helps. A moving car puts them off to sleep instantly. But most importantny remember, donot loose your cool. I know that it is nerve wrecking to seee your baby houle everyday and can be extremely stressful. But that phase will pass soon.

regrettably maximum little ones is going by using an unsettled era from 6 weeks to 12 weeks. My daughter is 11wks and continues to be fussy interior the evenings yet with any luck she'll improve out of it quickly! it may be colic if its basically interior the afternoon, yet while she cries together with her feeding then its achievable she has reflux. Thats what my daughter has, she replaced into extraordinarily unhappy, could drink little or no from her bottle and replaced right into a shocker to settle. because being on drugs shes lots extra suitable, nonetheless slightly fussy yet nowhere close to as undesirable! you may attempt a toddler provider? If its wind upsetting your bub she'll savour being upright, and basically shop strolling around, perhaps take her outdoors to look on the leaves blowing, for some reason little ones love that! My heart is going out to you, i know how stressful it is with unsettled, screaming little ones. you're doing each and every of the suited issues and that i'm hoping you hit upon something that facilitates.

I would try gas drops first... if that doesn't help lay her on her belly on a warm watter bottle or on your chest, if it is gas that will help push it through her system. Are you nursing?? If so watch what you eat it could be causing it. And it she is formula fed change brands. and go low iron. My son is 5 months old and I had the same type of problems. If she sleeps better on her belly, let her. I know the doctors have probably scared you in to thinking that you are putting your child in danger by doing so but you aren't. When I was a child they used to tell parents that it was dangerous to put babies to sleep on their backs and we all lived sleeping on our bellies. So if it helps her get through the night go for it. My son always sleeps on his belly. You could even try letting her sleep in the carrier. Because of the position it could help her get rid of gas.

IF none of that works try oral-gel on her gums... My son started having pain in his gums at about 2 1/12 months. He cut is first tooth at 3. So don't assume it's not teeth.

Chances are she doesn't miss her dad. At that age she's too young to remember that he should be there. So don't fret about that.

I hope you both get some sleep.

She probably does miss her old home, but also remember that crying can produce more crying (from swallowing excessive air, which becomes gas trapped in her intestines) so try to sooth it.
Use some gripe water and give her LOTS of attention--anytime she satrts try to rock or sooth her, and if she gets too much, hand her off to someone else if possible. Best to stop the cycle!

it could be colic alot of babies get that There is nothing you can really do to calm them down. My son had it bad. I would give him gas drops then put him over my knee and just bounce him a lil till he passed gass or burp you can also hold them real close to your body like his tummy on your tummy or bend his/ her knees up some. If it is not colic it could be something else I think you should call the babies doctor. Good luck

Call your pediatrician.
It could be something with her health or she may not be used to the new environment she is in.
But which ever one it is, make sure it is health problems by getting her in to a pediatrician.I work at a pediatric office and we'll get babies that are just fussy coming in---sometimes nothing is wrong and sometimes, they have ear infections or other health issues.
Good luck!

It might be acid reflux. Try letting your daughter sleep in a bouncy seat, or swing and see if this helps. Try using some Hyland's Colic Tablets and change the bottles you are using if you are formula feeding. Try using the Dr. Brown bottles with the stage one nipple. Try taking her outside, this has worked for me. You could also try taking her for a car ride.

I sure your baby senses some insecurities,( changes) but the baby could be gassie too, usually you can tell if their tummy is real hard feeling, I know this sounds crazy but it works, boil an onion let it cool and put the broth straight in the bottle, the baby will love it, wont hurt the baby its just broth but its also a natural sedative and it will relax the baby to pass gas and sleep comfortable. if the baby continues could be constipated consult with your pedi.
