i like everything she likes, so i get worried when i want to borrow some of the stuff she has, she seems mean about it all the time. How can i convince her that she just has good taste? and then sometimes, i dont want her to know that i like something, because she hates it. Maybe i am just folowing in her foot steps and i dont know it. help.

You need to make sure she understands why you are following her lead. Your sister may think you are copying her because you are trying to outshine her. Make it clear to her that you really admire her and want to be like her. For instance, if you'd like to borrow one of her outfits, ask if you can borrow it, then ask her to show you the right way to wear it (shoes, jewellery etc). That shows that you appreciate her taste.

If she hates an outfit and you like it, ask her why she doesn't like it. Explain that she has good taste and you're trying to learn to have the same.

Sometimes I wonder why siblings have to keep the truth from each other!
Be frank with your sister! Discuss what you like and don't like with her. What is wrong with having different or similar views of things between siblings or even between friends?
When you do that, she will come to appreciate that we do not always have similar tastes, neither do we always differ.
Your relationship will improve once you are honest and frank with each other.

My sister and I went back and forth like this for years! I was the mean older sister and she was the younger sister that was searching for acceptance from me when she didn't need it. So, this is what I am telling you as the older sister...you don't need her approval to like the things that she likes or like the things that she doesn't like. Later on, after you start going your own way...after you move out on your own...you will develop things that will set you two entirely apart....but you will be better friends after this happens too. My sister tried for years to tell me that she was doing the things that I did because she wanted to be like me...because she idolized me then....but now, she is doing better than I am....she is finally doing something that I wasn't able to do...and will continue to do so...and i am so proud of her for it. So develop yourself....no matter if it is the direction of your older sis or if it isn't. You don't need to answer to her ...

It usually happens on sisters, especially if you are younger than her. For me there is nothing wrong about that. If I am your older sister, will be happy to know that I tend to be your idol when it comes to taste in fashion, hobbies and good attitude.

Your sister must be older, it is natural for younger girls to look up to their older sisters. I have 5 girls, 16.15.13.9 and 2. The nine and two year old want to do everything (makeup, paint their nails, wear bras) that their older sisters do, cuz they adore them and look up to them.

you shouldn't bother about what she might said, the beauty of art is actually very independent, that makes fashion.
didnt you realize that some of the clothes we saw in the fashion show is just not our type?

Tell her she should feel flattered that you like her taste in things so much, you wish to share in it.

She should be flattered that you think that much of her, but you should develop your own style. Then she may be copying you.
