Of course it's possible to love someone you have never seen. In fact, it's probably easier than loving a real person.

Why? Because you can't possibly have complete knowledge of a person you've never met. So your imagination fills in the blanks, and of course your imagination will only choose "fillings" that you like. So this person will be half real, and half your perfect man, and of course you'll fall in love with him.

That's why having a relationship on the internet is so dangerous, because it is so easy to build the person up to be much, much better than he really is. Then when you meet him, you find out he is just an ordinary joe - or worse!

No, it is not. You can love attributes about them, their outlook, personality, beliefs etc. But to really love then you have to meet, spend time, go through rough patches. Love is like constructing a building. You build a foundation, and then add from there. walls, windows, floors, cabinets etc. You can not really build a house in the mountains if you are still on the beach. Same as you can not really tell how well you love to live in a house from the curb. And it is that inherent flaw of love that people use to just shack up for a while if not years, because they feel they can not commit 1st then smooth out the cracks. But there will be very few cracks if they had taken the time to build a proper foundation 1st.

Actually the entire things revolves around imagination and is, in general, the power and process of producing mental images and ideas. Imagined images are seen with the "mind's eye". After speaking to a person you tend to connect the voice to an imagined image of what you perceive the other person to be according to your yard stick and tend to fall in love. But please be careful if we are talking about the net, lot of people have ended up with heart breaks, so beware. rr

I'm assuming you have spoke with this person in some fashion?? Its probably the best kind of love. You love them for them, not their physical traits. Good luck.

No!

You may have strong positive feelings & a strong wish to meet & to get to know more about this person, But that isn't love.

no. how do you know that that person that you 'love' is not a complete liar and is just altering his/her identity just for the sake of putting you down......I say don't trust the Internet as a way of meeting people even if your life depended on it.

honestly, no I don't think it's possible. I'm sure it's possible to love an idea you have in your mind, but the reality is sure to be different.
