Here are the bands I'm into
Nonpoint
Flyleaf
Deaftones
Tool
Disturbed
We definately do not want some sappy love song for the ceremony, but we're going to have over 300 people there, that might not really appreciate our style of music, So I'm having a hard time thinking of a good song to use. We have a real good band playing at the reception, but my fiance really doesn't want harps, or violyns, we want something different that is us. Any help?

The music at your wedding could be a small part of the ceremony. if at all, I agree with you about the sappy tunes, I worked in a bridal salon and we heard it all day. I attended a wedding where they did a video slide show of the couple from baby pictures to wedding it was really nice, no music. Maybe you could look into some slow classic rock, I always thought "don't want to close my eyes" by Aerosmith would be nice, I used to sing that to my granddaughter. lol.

here's a few suggestions for the first dance...not quite the same style of music as the bands you named but definitely non-traditional and totally unique.

One - U2
All Over You - Live (My personal favorite!)
Van Halen - Love walks In
Heart - Alone
Love Song - 311 (cover of The Cure)

Good Luck and Congratulations!

i suggest doing a variety of songs, a lil bit of ur music, some of the reg. love songs and some different kinds if u can manage it. there's no reason y u should put with music u're not really interested in but since there'll be such a huge crowd there, u don't want them to just sit around. this way, everyone gets a lil of what they like and dance if they want or not. but remember, it's ur wedding and u can do what u want!

Yeah that sounds fun and all but you need music that everyone can dance to. I've been in plenty of wedding parties and the most fun weddings are the ones that play the "usual" songs because people dance. I was asked to dj a friend's wedding and he wanted me to play Radiohead, The Pixies, My Bloody Valentine....People didn't dance. Then I pulled out the standards and people had fun.

Do you comprehend a harpist? Harp is impressive historic previous track because of the fact it ought to be very soothing and quite floats. decide for a classical piece like Vivaldi's "4 Seasons" or Mozart's "Eine Kleine Nachtmusik". The parts are long passable that they are going to cover the total ceremony. Or, you would be able to desire 2 shorter parts or countless activities from each and each.

Marriage is something that will be remembered until the day you die by you and others around you (even on video). Make it worth something for your future self and for your future family and children. I suggest using the music of Enya, very classy, cool and flowing for a wedding.

Just remember some of those dumb highschool quotes made in the yearbook of some of your highschool friends. Looking back on it, some of them are just so lame, naive and dumb. Classy words and intelligent thoughts are timeless and endure generations, especially in life-changing important things as marriage. Choose wisely. :)

I have never heard any of those bands.
how about something cool like the Doobie Brothers
"Rockin" Down The Highway" gets along nicely
I think it's kinda dumb having 300 people cos it'll be hugely expensive and probably fights will break out.
otherwise congratulations.

I've always thought that The Fragile by Nine Inch Nails is a good song...also, something kind of twisted would be to play NIN's version of "Hurt"...but I'm kind of strange. "The One I Love" by REM is good--people think it's all lovey...but when you read the lyrics, you learn that it's really not.

I say who cares it is your time do what you want. Tool is awesome most of their songs are tripy, so you have everyone do some acid and no one will care what music is playing
