Tammy is incredibly lazy. She's posted her entire homework assignment in different questions for people to do on Yahoo. She needs to get a tutor or drop the class!

Open the paranthesis:
19x - 15x + 0.195 = 3x + 0.615

Get all x terms on left side and all numbers on right side of equation
19x - 15x - 3x = 0.615 - 0.195
19x - 18x = 0.42
x = 0.42

19x-3(5x-0.065)=3x+0.615
Use the -3 to multiply the 5x and -0.065.
19x-15x+.195=3x+.615
Combine like terms.
4x+.195=3x+.615
Subtract 3x from both sides.
x+.195=.615
Subtract .195 from both sides.
x=0.42

I hope that I helped you!

19x - 15x + (0.065*3) = 3x + 0.615

19x - 15x - 3x = 0.615 - 0.195 = 0.42

=> x = 0.42
