He put millions of parents in the position of explaining to to their children what oral sex is, a contact high, and why they should always put their dirty clothes in the laundry.

He got on his surfboard and road the greatest wave (the high-tech boom) that any President will ever see and then claimed that he was responsible for balancing the budget.

Any of us who are informed know that the tax receipts exploded during the tech-boom and Congress could not spend the money fast enough, hence, the budget surplus (for a fleeting moment in time). This condition was short-lived, of course, because Congress found a way to catch up and spend all that money. Unfortunately, when tax receipts subside, they can never find the off switch to stop the excessive spending. They are spending us into a black hole (must be that compassion that the Dems like to speak of so often).

I have zero faith in Congress to do the right thing. Government is reactionary and we will hit the rocks before anything is done.

It was Bush, Sr. who raised taxes after lying and promising he wouldn't.

But Bush, Jr. has -- although you don't know it yet -- made the biggest "tax" hike that history has ever know. By depleting the Treasury of its Clinton surplus, and giving it as a gift to his cronies in huge estate and capital gains tax cuts (99% of which went to millionaires) he has set in march the DEPRECIATION OF THE CURRENCY.

That's the oldest tax in the world -- a Biblical tax -- paid for mostly by people on fixed incomes.

He's mortgaged America on the cheap to the Chinese to wage his Iraq war. Interest rates are rising because of the size of the debt. The Chinese will be buying American property on the cheap in a few years. Your children and grandchildren will never stop paying for it.

And not to forget that a lot of services formerly paid for by Washington are now left to the states, or have user fees imposed. So you are paying higher state taxes and higher user fees. Or things aren't being done: lots of people want smaller government. But in yesterday's papers it's pointed out that the USA but not
Europe, not Japan, not even China where it's made allows formaldehyde glue for wood. And of course meat is barely inspected anymore. And nobody is really watching the borders.

The tax increase was to balance the budget from the huge spending increases under Reagan. They were all done on a credit card. Taxes come from spending. Republicans like to leave the heavy lifting for the people that come behind them.

Someone will have to get us out of Iraq and pay for all the government give-aways of the Bush administration, too.

Not much, welfare reform, blah blah blah but when contrasting his presidency to today, he seems like one of the best president's we've ever had. You right-wingers must be dreading '08, and the impending shift torwards liberalism in this country. A news poll came out today that 68% of Americans think the government would be better off in democrat hands after 8 years of conservatism.

Balanced the budget. Presided over the largest economic boom. Left trillions of dollars for the idiot in power now to squander. Want more?

Bolster the economy, give us a surplus vs. national deficit (which this administration has now squandered), attempted to eradicate Al-Qaeda pre-emptively, helped out in Kosovo/Serbia with well thought-out military intervention, and fostered GREAT international relations.

The poor Sitcom President has done the reverse. If you're happy with your tax cut, maybe you can donate it to one of the families of the roughly 3000 personnel killed in Iraq...........? Or do you prefer a big-screen TV from Walmart so you can watch more FOX "NEws"?

What planet were on in the '90's - it couldn't have been here? Everything he did was for the benefit of the country unlike what the current idiot in charge is doing - everything is for his benefit and the benefit of his big oil buddies. How old were you when Bill was President - 6?

Don't forget, He cut massive funding to social programs, something liberals are upset about. Wait, I mean, something liberals SHOULD BE upset about. But he gets a pass, he is a democrat.

I love how these libs above claim Clinton was responsible for the economy under his leadership. Do they think that happens overnight? As soon as he was elected, 'boom' great economy. "yea Clinton!!!!" It had nothing to do with reagan.
