Not a household name to be sure -but- consider Brent Mason. He is the guitarist for Nashville's "A Team," a fist call group of musicians who are responsible for 95% of the backing tracks you hear. Who has he played with ? Virtually EVERY star (or near-star) that ever recorded in Music City. Alan Jackson was quoted some years ago as saying..."This guy (Brent) isn't human." Grab a dozen C&W CDs at random and look at the credits. He's almost always on the session. By the way.....about 10 years ago Brent was "sitting in" at a Nashville honky-tonk and Chet Atkins along with George Benson came to see him......they "shook there heads" in amazment - that's quite a tribute !!

Keith Urban but he doesn't compare to Chet Atkins, Albert Lee, or Vince Gill.

The three of them, put together, have less than half the ability of Chet Atkins.
