Yeah, by the strictest interpretation of the word, he is. Dissenting opinion is fine, but he doesn't care about offering alternative solutions. All he cares about is bashing this administration. I'm a conservative, and I voted for Bush in both 2000 and 2004, but I do realize he and his administration have made mistakes. Nothing wrong with pointing out mistakes, but Olbermann tips to the side of providing aide and comfort to the enemy, and anyone who does that is a traitor.

As for being tried and executed, he should have to stand trial. I think execution should be reserved for people like Hansen in the FBI or CIA that take physical classified information and sell it to our enemies. In the grand scheme of things, Olbermann would get a slap on the wrist, which, when compared to what Hansen did, is probably appropriate. I'm all for free speech, but you can exercise that right without encouraging or giving hope to those who hate us and want to kill us. Plus, it's hard to prove if or who he in fact "encouraged" or "gave hope" to.

I think he is a bit mis-guided. I have listened to some of his tirades against the President, and honestly I don't know if that is him talking or if he is trying to sway public oppinion against the administration. There have been several things that I disagree with Olberman on, the main thing of calling the president a lier. Being wrong doesn't mean he lied, several other countries concered with what we thought was true. And his being wrong is up to debate.

But to me nothing Olberman has said that I have heard rises to traitor status.

Olbermann is brilliant!
I'm loving his commentary. I hope the massive irony in suggesting he's a traitor for arguing ,for instance, that it is egregious for a democratic leader to claim criticizing him is equivalent to being a nazi appeaser, will someday be obvious to everyone...
