i do think vickers crashed johnson and jr. on purpose he's to despret to win and had to do it by cheating he planned it and he should have not gone to the winners circle i was outraged by what had happen, jr. should have won i'm getting mad all over again just talking about it... jr. deserved to win that race and it was taken away from him...it was a dirty finished and vickers was'nt the least bit sorry for what he did he's a dirty race car driver and had to crash into his own team mate just to win..it was a great race until the finish....

I was really pulling for Junior to win and was on pins and needles the last few laps. The thing that bothers me is that Junior appeared to have a car that could pull away from them and maintain a good car length lead even though Vickers was pushing Johnson. I can't help but think that Junior put himself in jeopardy by slowing just enough to try to block the other two. He should have seen it coming and trusted the strength and speed of his car. He could have gone to the bottom going into the last corner taking the short way around. That would have left Johnson and Vickers on the top through the corner where Vickers wouldn't be able to push Johnson. I think Junior would have been able to come back up the track exiting the corner still in front of the other two. It is likely that Vickers would have tried to pass Johnson as they exited the corner and both would have lost the advantage of the draft between them, but it would have been too late because Junior would have had at least a car length lead. I'm guessing that Junior will take this lesson to heart.

I don't think Vickers intentionally wrecked Johnson. I don't think he has that much skill. I think it was an unfortunate accident.

Wow what a bunch of cry babies on here. Vickers is a lame duck at Hendrick, Vickers is not allowed in the team meetings there, Gordon has said that Vickers isnt his teammate. Hendrick has given Vickers almost no shot to compete in 3 years so he is moving on. Johnson wants to cry about it let him cry, Jr. is at least willing to say hey maybe it was an accident. What did Vickers have to gain by wrecking the two cars in front of him beyond the victory? Nothing.

Vickers has more to lose by intentionally wrecking cars than he stands to gain from it. If it was Gordon or Jr that had wrecked two cars nobody would be complaining. I remember Chicagoland and hardly anyone cared about Gordon getting the win there and how he got it. So whats different this time around? It was a driver without the last name of Gordon. Its a driver not in the chase and they should let drivers in the chase have a wide berth and give them the spots in the top ten. Vickers had good intentions by trying to help his teammate win, and it just turned ugly on a mistake so get over it.

I agree with Jr I dont think that he meant to wreck them. I do think that all he was thinking about was winning. Vickers should not be able to count this as a win cause he costed Jr major points. Jr also said that Brian doesn't just go out there and wreck people he is a nice guy, also Jr's response to the hole thing was very respectable when he could have just fought him.

No, I dont believe he did it on purpose. I like both Jr. and Vickers, they are 2 of my fav. drivers so I hated to see what happened today. But I dont believe that Vickers purposely took either one of them out. Just like Jr. said in his interview, Brian's a nice guy and he doesnt race that dirty or purposely take people out like that. And I am so glad he got his first win, I just wish it would've happened different than it did, I wish it wouldnt have taken Jr. out and I wish all the Jr. fans wouldnt have booed Brian the way they did just cause he Accidentally took Jr. out. Go Brian and Go Jr.!!!!!

Naaaa....I don't think so....
But yes, he was HAPPY that he won.
How is he suppose to act after winning??? He apologized...what else could he do????
Maybe if he worked up a few tears during the interview or timidly moved back to second place after knocking out Jr and Johnson some race fans would GET OVER IT!!!!
((rolling my eyes))
I like Jimmy AND Jr better then Vickers...but COME ON PEOPLE!!!! LET IT GO!!!!

I don't think he did it on purpose. I do think that he didn't care, he even said that he'd do it again. IMO, he was so hungry for his first win that he wasn't thinking straight.

Jr himself said that Vickers isn't that type of guy to do something of that nature. Brian just wanted a win so badly that he wasn't using his entire brain and it wound up costing Dale Jr his 6th win at Dega and Jimmie Johnson the championship.

Do you think Godzilla meant to knock down that building when he was walking through Tokyo?
Do you think King Kong meant to hurt those guys when he rolled the log bridge down into the ravine?
Do you think that E.coli bacteria thinks its gonna kill hundreds of people when they eat spinach salads?
Do you think there is some kid in Alabama or Texas or Montana saying "man I can't wait 'til I grow up so I can take a car that goes 200 mph and ram it into another one and hope I can kill somebody on national TV and get millions of dollars to do it and have a corporate sponsor like Pennzoil, or Hooters or RayOVac or whoever... plastered all over my car and my azz so that everyone will know that I ain't got the sense God gave little green apples."

Then if you think any one of those four things think they know what they're doing then by God ... Ain't none of us got the sense God gave little green apples and we all might as well just start rammin' hell out of each other on the freeway right now and say "ta hell with NASCAR" let's just do it the way Mr. Vickers does......... Kill'em all and let God sort'em out

the way he wrecked Johnson he might have has to renowned that he replaced into taking Junior with them - if it replaced into on purpose. no one is dumb sufficient to break Junior on the final lap in Alabama whilst he's working up front. Vickers could have approximately 2 followers for something of his occupation for that. So the respond is not any.
