Because society has brought us up to believe that "the grass is always greener on the other side" I was bored with Edinburgh (where I stay) but after seeing a bit more of the world (Australia, Canada, US, Europe) I've come to realise its actually a pretty great city.

If they're like me, they get sick of the way the country has declined in some ways. For me, I can't stand the USA as of late. The politicians are so partisian, and all they do is focus on bullsh*t, defaming each other, foreign oil, making the wealthy wealthier, and lying to the citizens of this country. They get frustrated with things that are the equivalent of the unconstitutional Patriot Act. They get tired of the economy going sour just when it got good; having to pay higher taxes, more for this or that when they are making less money, just to catch up with the deficit ran up by fiscally irresponsible and immoral so-called leaders. So, as for me, if I could move to Canada today, I'd do it in a heartbeat. Anything else?

The opportunity is better somewhere else for their chosen career path, or boredom. They want a chance to experience a new culture and country.
