Ok think reality. Something that an average guy could afford.
And would make you say yes the next time he sees you...

You did not mention your age or how many times you have dated this person. But here are some ideas I would think are fun. I am into dates where we can talk, laugh and have fun.

Bowling (sounds corny and I pretty much suck at it, but is good for laughing and fun) then ice cream.

A community fair/art show and coffee house.

An interesting play perhaps in the afternoon and a casual dinner after at some place you might know of and she has never been to.

It is fall where I live, a cider mill trip and a drive to look at the fall colors. Ending at a park for a little walk and snuggling.

An unexpected fall picnic (pack warm things for her) and a frisbee.

Lots of museums are pretty cheap to get into and interesting. The same goes for any businesses in your area that might give tours.

Check out what is going on in your local community or surrounding ones.

A trip to the zoo. Maybe you will see some hot monkey love! lol

Check out some local bands, rock/blues/jazz and dance the night away.

Rollerblading or Ice Skating.

A rented movie athon of all your favorite type movies, complete with snacks.

If you are long time lovers (only then), a weekend in bed literally. As in, you only leave it for bathroom breaks. Drinks and food are to be brought back to the bed. This does take some preparing as you are sure to get hungry and thirsty. Lots of her favorite beverage/ice and some food for mini breaks. Fresh towels/sheets. Different reading material, variety of newspapers, magazines and some lusty reads, read out loud to each other. The rest of the love marathon is up to your imaginations!

Good Luck and Have Fun!

Bike riding either on Autumn-foliage roads or else (in warmer climates) near the ocean; followed by coffee and biscotti at an outdoor umbrella table.

Second part of your question: Nothing.
